Single use plastic is widely used in personal care. Many brands are using refill solutions to minimise the need for secondary and tertiary packaging and now the Varden solution extends this to the primary pack. Our material means that creams and lotions can be supplied in a plastic-free paper refill, and the customer can recycle this or compost this at end of life.

Thermoforming fibre allows the creation of multiple different formats as well as the standard “blister pack”. Being plastic free and cellulose based, the packs are easy and silent to tear or open, whilst still providing the barrier for a wide range of pharmaceutical products.

For certain food service uses like sauces, condiments or confectionary, our high barrier solution with plastic-free eco-credentials is perfect. Mayonnaise and ketchup packs for example become compostable, carbon neutral and benign.
